“Giallo Philia”

Luke Warmcop y Graham Mushnik forman Guess What en 1968 (2005), y comienzan la producción de bandas sonoras y música metafísica oscura.

En el año 1973 (2010), descubren el cine giallo y se embarcan en la grabación de “Mondo Giallo”, un particular homenaje al género cinematográfico formado por las bandas sonoras de cuatro películas italianas imaginarias de los 60 y 70. Rico en facetas propias del género, los temas van del crime jazz o la bossa-nova erotica, pasando por el terror psicodélico y barroco.

Luke Warmcop and Graham Mushnik formed Guess What in 1968 (2005). They started out working indoors only, producing obscur metaphysical music and soundtracks.

In 1973 (2010), they discovered the mighty “Giallo” cinema and recorded some italian-sounding music. The LP “Mondo Giallo” has just been released on Imagenes Records.

“After their first opus “Yuri Gagarin”, tribute to the legendary astronaut, London/France based duet Guess What (Graham Mushnik and Luke Warmcop) are back with “Mondo Giallo” - the soundtrack to four imaginary Italian films from the 60’s and 70’s. The combo explored all musical facets of the Giallo cinema, from the dramatic “crime jazz” to the sleazy erotic bossa-nova, without omitting the psychedelic and spooky accents of a baroque horror moment…; All this interpreted in the band’s distinctive melodic and multi-signatured style.

Dynastie Crisis - Faust 72 / Vivre Libre (1972)

“Jacky Chalard is one of my particular Gods of Bass. Redemption was immediate from the day when my player cracked with” Faust 72 “, the hit of the french band Dynastie Crisis, fetish group accordingly. And is that the issue itself is quite spectacular. La redención fue inmediata desde el mismo día en que mi reproductor crujió con el “Faust 72”, el pelotazo de los franceses Dynastie Crisis, grupo fetiche por consiguiente.
